Homework Homework will be assigned Monday through Thursday. Late work will be accepted within the quarter it is assigned. Materials Needed for Class- A spiral notebook, tape or glue stick, planner, pencils, colored pencils, dry erase marker, pen (for self check), Calculator:TI 30 XIIS, & a book/spare reading material. The Planner- The planner is used to record all homework assignments and for home/school communication. Your child is responsible for recording the homework correctly in the planner. PLEASE CHECK YOUR CHILD'S PLANNER NIGHTLY. The Notebook-All homework and classwork is to be completed in the spiral notebook. This will be a great tool for studying for upcoming Learning Checks (Tests). This also keeps everything for math in one place. :) If you would like to review your child’s math work, see his/her notebook. Absentee Work- In the event of an absence, it will be the student’s responsibility to ask the teacher for any missed assignments. Learning Checks & Quizzes- Quizzes may be given at any time. Learning Checks are given at the end of a unit. Students are also assessed weekly through warm ups, homework & Week by Week Essentials. Extra Credit Opportunities Bonus points are available on every test. Bonus points are added to every test that is signed by a parent and brought back to school the next day. Other opportunities to earn bonus points are available throughout the year.
